The ideas in this little ebook transcend religion. They are not Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, or New Age. They can be found in all religions, expressed in many diverse ways, and often buried beneath mounds of dogma. I have no intention of changing your religious or spiritual beliefs. Your beliefs are your choice, and I will not interfere with your free will. My purpose is simply to give you some basic information about the nature of spiritual warfare and what you can do about it.

We are in the midst of the greatest war of all time. It’s unlike any war in history, which is why most people can’t even see it going on. All of us are being attacked on every level of our being—body, mind, and soul. That is, spiritual warfare, psychological warfare, and on the physical level it’s called fifth-generation warfare. My recent books explain this in detail. This little ebook gives a brief introduction to spiritual warfare.

Of the three types of warfare, spiritual warfare is by far the most important. I am convinced that even if we do nothing on the levels of physical warfare and psychological warfare, but we win the spiritual war, we win. This must be so because everything is fundamentally spiritual. As I explain in my book of modern-day parables (The Band Director’s Lessons About Life) spirit creates, mind builds, and the body manifests in physical reality. Everything begins with spirit.

We are being attacked by an adversary who remains hidden. He works through many layers of other people, most of whom have no idea they are being used for evil purposes. They are the “useful idiots” of communist theory and practice. They think they are doing good, yet they unwittingly become the agents of their own demise and the demise of democracy. In fact, all of us are useful idiots to some extent.

That’s part of why our first step is awareness—we must become aware of what is really going on in our world and how we can sensibly respond to it. Both individually and collectively, we are on a journey of awareness and transformation. I explain this in detail in my recent books, What the Hell Is Going On? and The Way Forward.

The adversary realizes that they must break people down spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically. They know that a permanent conquest cannot be accomplished with weapons alone. True subjugation occurs only when subjects submit spiritually, emotionally and psychologically to their oppressors. Our adversary will consider themselves victorious only when they have subjugated us spiritually. Thus, the spiritual war is key.
